About Nanette

 

Nanette is a musician and teacher that believes in teaching all children, and adults, a deep love of music.  She has taught piano for 10 years and is versed in classical training methods, as well as in a more contemporary style of playing, through reading chord charts and improvisation.  Nanette continues to sing and play on a regular basis as a worship leader at her church in Tierrasanta.  She is an accomplished singer, having sung in International Honour Choirs in the Hague, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.  She has done voice over work for an international children's encyclopedia.  

 

Nanette grew up in a house filled with music, and wants to encourage all of her students to develop this art form, as a passion and as a course of study.  Her belief is that a strong musical education will make a child excel in school, give them unshakable confidence in themselves and their abilites, impart a love of creativity, and develop a well rounded teenager and adult, regardless of what type of music they want to play or sing.
